Roy Dela Cruz
Roy is a licensed agriculturist. He is dedicated to studying agriculture to help sustain scarce resources and promote agriculture to the next generation. He continues to learn new things and improve his knowledge towards agriculture so he is intentional in joining trainings and seminars on farming and in testing and applying what he has learned. Roy has an eye for innovation when it comes to farming. He holds a National Certificate II in Organic Agriculture Production from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and a degree on Agricultural Economics major in Farm Management and Production Economics from the University of Southeastern Philippines. Roy wants to restore agriculture in the eyes and minds of the young generation and he wants to empower the youth to use their innovation and energy to improve existing agricultural technologies and practices.

This national competency certificate covers skills for the production of organic farm products such as chicken and vegetables including producing of organic supplements such as fertilizer, concoctions and extracts. It has two (2) elective competencies which are on raising organic hogs and raising organic small ruminants.

SALT is a farming approach and technique for working on lands with varied topographic relief. The technology aims to increase production over time while eliminating erosion and land degradation. This technique was pioneered in the Davao region in the 1970’s.
